organization,Abstract
Lexical systems provide one of the most important sources for identifying the
similarities and differences between languages. Every language classifies the
surrounding world through its own lexical resources, and the names assigned
to objects of everyday life constitute a particularly informative part of this
classification. Among such lexical domains, furniture terminology occupies
a significant position because it reflects not only material objects and their
functions but also cultural practices, domestic organization, historical
development, technological change, and patterns of social interaction.
