Principles for the Construction of a Bilingual Ideographic Dictionary

This article formulates the foundational principles for constructing a bilingual
ideographic dictionary that integrates lexical units from two structurally and culturally distinct
languages through a system of semantic classification. The proposed model is based on
ideographic lexicography, interlingual equivalence, and corpus-based analysis of explanatory
constructions. The dictionary framework includes macro-conceptual domains—such as
anthropological, natural, spatio-temporal, and artefactual categories—systematized according to
ideographic logic and cross-language compatibility. Each entry consists of a normalized lemma,
semantic interpretation, bilingual correspondence, contextual excerpt, and, when necessary,
stylistic or diachronic annotation. The methodology combines componential analysis,
ideographic taxonomy, and comparative semantic modeling, ensuring high consistency and
lexical cohesion. The model allows application in linguistic typology, contrastive semantics,
bilingual education, and lexicon-based cognitive research.
