Abstract

FGM is a pervasive cultural tradition that is mostly practiced in nations like Asia,
Africa, and the Middle East. Female genital mutilation (FGM) includes the partial or
total removal of the external female genitalia, or other injury to the female genital
organs for non-medical reasons.
