Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women and the second most common cause of death from cancer. About 40% of all cancers found in women are thought to be. In this study, we aimed to explore these assays, their relevance in evaluating genetic damage in breast cancer patients, Method: The study included registered cancer cases from February /2024 to September /2024. In Salah Al-Din Health Department - Oncology Center / Tikrit, 100 samples were collected from women (50 control and 50 women with breast cancer ) Who were diagnosed according to histopathological reports. They are between 30 and 70 years old. The genotoxicity evaluated in Oral epithelial cells by Micronucleus assay and Comet assay in DNA damage in peripheral lymphocytes, The results showed significant increase at the level in the concentration of white blood cells WBC for patients with breast cancer(8.30*±1.50) compared with Healthy control (7.06±1.88) and showed a significant decrease at the level in the concentration PCV of for patients with breast cancer (33.50*±1.13) compared with Healthy control (36.40±3.16) and Hbg/DL(10.53±1.20) (9.86*±1.80) (P≤0.05). It is noted that the mean micronuclei the average abnormality in all changes in nuclei are higher in breast cancer patients (155.8 ± 4.75) compared with Healthy control (29.25 ± 4.37 ). The results showed significant increase in the average of the affected cells (*6.64± 1.2) and the average total cell total (51.66 ± 18.19). in urinary tract while the average of damage cells (* 31.33 ± 12.15) and These results suggest that the estimation of cellular genetic damage in breast cancer patients by Micronucleus assay and Comet assay estimation.
